38 wks, Days 4 (recap of weekend)

Days remaining as of 9/6/11: 11

Ok, i need to catch up on my countdown blogging from the weekend. I am a horrible weekend blogger because i get side tracked or am busy tending to other things so here goes...

Saturday - Had lunch with my friend Brandi since she called me up to ask Friday if i was up for doing lunch or a movie on Saturday. It was a much nicer day in terms of weather than it has been in the last month. Still hot, but in the 90's rather than the scorching 3 digit temps. My mother-in-law let us come over after lunch so i could swim some to get some more lap time in so that i can hopefully move this baby along and help to try and keep him in the right position. The water felt like heaven! Normally its warm and much better than being in the heat...at least it cools you off...but this time it was actually much cooler even though the outside temps were hot. Did some other small tidbit things around the house for the rest of the evening.

Sunday - woke up and decided to assemble the rolling changing table that i ordered for the bathroom. Our little bathroom is pretty small, even after the remodel but the vanity doesn't really have the countertop space to place the baby tub so i wanted some sort of organization for that before he arrives so that it would be easy to roll all of his bathtime stuff to the sink, fill up the tub, and bathe him in it while he's small enough until we transition to the big tub. I'm pretty pleased with the purchase. It's quite sturdy and has locking wheels. Guess we will see if it's truly functional once he arrives. I'm pretty proud of myself since i did most of the assembly. LOL All of the stuff underneath (towels, Bose system and toilet paper were just thrown on there to get it out of the way for now....the underneath shelving will actually have baskets with his items like wash cloths, bath toys, etc...
This is just a shot of his little tub on the top part of the cart.
I'll most likely plan to use it in the kitchen to store things like my cookbooks, breads, chips, potatoes, and onions once we no longer need it in the bathroom.

That evening we had already planned earlier in the week to have a fondue dinner at my mom's house. So we went over about 4pm to their place and had lots of yummy food.

I didn't really have much overall abdominal cramping or contracting during the weekend.

Monday - was Labor day and i was blessed enough to have that day off. My hubby had already made plans to go shooting at the gun range that morning, so Mom and I went to get our nails done. I figured i better get my pedicure before Donovan gets sneaky and comes early and i am left with horrible looking feet during delivery. haha!

I don't post pics of my feet or toes because i figure most people don't care to see it anyway. I chose a glittery sour apple green. Everything has been green with this pregnancy so far, so i figure it suited the occasion well enough and should make a good focal point (if i can even see my feet) when it's time to go in LOL.

Ran a few other errands that afternoon and then came home early to rest. Didn't take long for me to be tired enough to want to hit the bed earlier than i normally do. I managed to get in a few loads of laundry and pick up around the house to prepare for the work week.

Today - no big news, other than Sons of Anarchy starts this evening!!!! Oh well besides the weather being absolutely gorgeous and fall-like this week so far. Always grateful for that! Dr. appt on Thursday so will keep you posted as more happens.
