New Floors Completed

Does anything usually ever go as planned?  Probably not, but there's a reason why things happen the way they do and for the most part, I look at it as God's way of intervening and keeping something negative from happening if OUR plans had gone as we wanted them to.  So where am I going with this you ask? 

Yesterday, we had our floors installed.  The installers were supposed to be at house earlier that morning (probably around 9 or 10) and didn't end up showing up until 1pm due to their van breaking down.  The only downfall to this whole delay was it was closer to 9:30 p.m. when they finished the project and were out our doors.  JD and I were hoping to catch a movie that evening since we haven't had a night alone together without Donovan in a little while.  Since that didn't happen, our meal was a lovely pizza delivered while we sat and ate together on the couch in the living room while the guys finished up in the house.  Our stuff is everywhere (LITERALLY) from all the moving we had to do before they arrived, so there wasn't any place to be other than the living room, which was already crammed full of stuff.  Even the door on the bathroom and toilet were removed so the flooring could be installed.  Talk about bladder control!!!

Small sacrifices you make to improve your home I suppose.  Here are some of the before and after photos.

This was the before photos of the bathroom. The old tile cracked from not being installed with the proper size hardy board behind it.

These are the after photos. The lighting on the 1st and 3rd makes the floors look warmer than they actually are.

Here are the before photos of the back room (laundry room/ JD's closet). The trim board was left out because it was too late to keep working since Donoan was asleep already.
