Donovan's 1st Easter

I guess it's important to every parent to mark their child's "1st" experiences with each holiday that passes.  This would mark Donovan's 1st Easter Sunday.  While we don't attend a church regularly that we can call our "home" we wanted to try and spend Easter as a family.  I will be narrowing my options here soon on what church i want to attend regularly, but for this Easter we attended the church that I grew up in as a youth member and where we were married.

Maw Maw had already pre-purchased a little suit for Donovan a month or so in advance.  Very cute indeed, but he's growing so fast he barely gets to wear the clothes.  He managed to fit the pants with a little room to grow but we couldn't button the long sleeves or the top button around his neck to put the little clip on tie in place.

We attended morning services and then had lunch at Saltgrass where he got to look through his easter goodies.

Probably one of the few pictures we have as a family.  It always seems like one of us is taking the photo.  I try so hard to plan ahead so i have time to put makeup on, but it never works out.  We were in a rush that morning so this is the final result.

Grandma Mitzi entertaining Donovan before church started.

We brought toys to try and keep him entertained for an hour.  That was a chore!

Looking through his Easter Basket that Grandma Mitzi and Paw Paw got him.  He loved his Easter Sock Monkey that had bunny ears and especially the Sponge Bob bucket.

Because we are in a Sponge Bob phase, i went with all things Sponge Bob, except for the bib.  No candy for this little one yet.

Here's the cute little basket i found for him.  Please don't mind my cluttered counter top.  These days, space is not a luxury of ours.

We hope that you all enjoyed Easter Sunday with your families and were able to create lots of memories that I'm sure your children will hold dear.

Easter Eggs and Chocolate Bunnies,
Jenny
