Yesterday (2/24/11) was my 2nd appt with Dr. Files, my obgyn dr. My appt was at 3:50,so i left work at 3:00 just to arrive with 2 minutes to spare. I was unprepared as the front desk lady told me i needed to leave a sample. I had just emptied my bladder before i left work to head out for my appt., so they were lucky to get what little they did.
My last ultra sound was 2nd week of Feb. so the images were supposed to be sent to my Dr. for review. Up to this point noone has given me a due date yet, other than what i calculated it might be based on my last menstrual cycle. I made sure to write down any questions i wanted to ask the dr. and was prepared to not leave without a due date.LOL
The physician assistants did a check to hear the baby's heartbeat. Seemed like it took forever for them to find anything...i was starting to get a little nervous with them not hearing anything. Finally they found it and it sounded very faint, but strong. They said it was about 172bpm. JD and I watched a few video clips while we waited for a dr. The room we were in had a fancy apple monitor with a little remote that the nurse gave me to watch while we waited for the dr.
Dr. finally makes her entrance and i'm prepared to ask for a due date before we get knee deep in the appt. She asks me if I went for my ultrasound screening and i told her yes. Apparently the imaging center failed to send over the images for the dr.s review, so i still don't have a due date based on the size of the baby. Basically the dr. gave me the general due date based on my menstrual cycle so all we are working with right now is September 17th, 2011. So far, i haven't heard any negative feedback on my check ups. Baby seems to be doing ok. Will update more as i get more...

Girl you should be prepared to pee EVERY time you walk into the doc office while your pregnant! It's the first thing they do at every appt!! Next time you'll know!
