Part 2 of the ongoing surgical saga

Tomorrow JD will be going in for his 2nd surgery to reverse the ostomy. We have to be at the hospital at 6AM for prep and admission. Surgery is supposed to take place at 8:00 or 8:30. They will reconnect the portion of the large intestine, that they currently have routed to the ostomy, to the Jpouch that was internally created in the first surgery. JD has been healing really well and all seems to be going as planned.

Jd's done an excellent job at tolerating the ostomy and all that it applies. The ostomy bag, from my perspective, does not seem to interfere with day to day life. Other than the frequent empyting, which is far less than what he was experiencing when he was tolerating the disease...he's handled it all pretty well. He had to wear cover-alls or overalls to work since the ostomy hits right at the abdomen where his pant line is. For me that was a plus though, because i thought he looks quite sexy in overalls. (i've always liked them on men).

I expect that he will be in the hospital for a few days after the surgery so that he can be monitored. We appreciate all the prayer and support from family and friends during this time. We are looking forward to a promising future now that this will be behind us.
